What is always a hot topic no matter where you go? Real Estate. Almost everyone owns property, has owned property, is thinking of buying or selling property or knows someone looking to buy or sell.
There are numerous reports that indicate prices and sales are down and interest rates are up following the last Bank of Canada increase in January.
It’s important to remember that each province, each city, has it’s own real estate market. Often we hear about the numbers in large centers like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver – but we’re all unique in our activity and the Shuswap and North Okanagan are particularly unique. We offer a very desirable climate and lifestyle that appeals to families, seniors, outdoor enthusiasts. While we are affected by what happens across the country and activity in Vancouver, Kelowna and Calgary certainly have an impact – we enjoy our own little bubble of activity. Our inventory levels are still low and buyers are out there looking. While the days of multiple offers may be gone, we continue to enjoy a healthy market.
